DSL Internet Access Service Providers

HIGH-SPEED SOLUTIONS DSL is built for businesses that not only want the high-speeds and low prices of broadband services, but also the support, business-class features and guarantees companies rely on to run their business.

DSL dramatically increases the digital capacity of ordinary telephone lines (the local loop) into the home or office for an always-on, high bandwidth connection to the Internet. DSL speeds are tied to the distance between the customer and the telephone company's central office. DSL is geared to two types of usage. Asymmetric DSL (ADSL) is for Internet access, where fast downstream is required, but slow upstream is acceptable. Symmetric DSL (SDSL) is designed for bi-directional Internet usage.

DSL is delivered on a shared line (with telephone service) and also on a dedicated basis where voice is delivered on a separate line. Shared line DSL is commonly used in residential applications and requires the customer to have voice service from a local phone company to receive DSL service. Dedicated DSL, known in the industry as "dry loop" or "naked DSL", is designed for the customer who wants the benefits of DSL but does not need or desire a conventional phone service from the local telephone company.

HIGH-SPEED SOLUTIONS offers all flavors of DSL, shared line and dedicated from 128 Kbps to 1.5 Mbps.

ADSL Speeds Range between 256 Kbps x 128 Kbps to 7.1 Mbps x 768 Kbps
IDSL 144 Kbps x 144 Kbps
SDSL 192 Kbps x 192 Kbps
384 Kbps x 384 Kbps
768 Kbps x 768 Kbps
1.0 Mbps x 1.0 Mbps
1.5 Mbps x 1.5 Mbps

All Speeds are Free Installation & Equipment

ADSL - Short for asymmetric digital subscriber line, a technology that allows more data to be sent over existing copper telephone lines (POTS). ADSL supports data rates from 256 Kbps to 7.1 Mbps when receiving data (known as the downstream rate) and from 128 Kbps to 768 Kbps when sending data (known as the upstream rate). Businesses of all sizes can provide fast, always-on connections to multiple users at a fraction of the price of traditional dedicated internet access technologies.

SDSL - Short for symmetric digital subscriber line, a technology that allows data to be sent at the same transmission rate in both directions. SDSL supports data rates of up to 1.5 Mbps. Operating in a symmetric model, SDSL, lends itself naturally to office applications. Corporate upstream capacity can fill up quickly due to heavy Web-server traffic and the resource demands of employees who send large volumes of PDFs, PowerPoint presentations, and other documents. Outgoing enterprise traffic can equal, if not exceed, incoming traffic. Furnishing downstream and upstream data rates of 1.5Mbits/sec in North America, SDSL resembles the T1/E1 connection, but is available at a lower cost.

IDSL - Short for ISDN Digital Subscriber Line, a method of providing DSL technology over existing ISDN lines. Even though the transfer rates for IDSL are about the same as ISDN (144kbps v. 128kbps), and IDSL circuits typically only carry data (not voice), the major benefits of using IDSL over ISDN are always-on connections, thus eliminating call setup delays; flat rate billing, instead of per minute fees; and transmission of data over the data network, rather than the PSTN. IDSL service is generally, needed by customers whose location is beyond three miles from a serving central office or have fiber (not copper) connectivity.
